Not my plans but His

How many times have you read the ending of a really good book? Or watched the end of a really great movie? And the ending just didn't turn out how you'd hoped? Well if you're anything like me a weak ending can be pretty disappointing.

That's how I feel about plans that don't go according to the way I think they will...I don't know about you but for me nothing can be more frustrating or more disappointing than to make plans and then have those plans broken by some unforeseen circumstance of life.

I used to become frazzled and disheartened whenever I made plans that failed to come to fruition but then one day I came across the scripture in Proverbs 19 verse 21 which says "many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails".

It's the Lords purpose that prevails! Because although there is nothing wrong with planning or being diligent about carrying out those plans...we need to remember that our ultimate reason for being where we are is to fulfill Gods purpose for our lives...we were created to do amazing things for God and His kingdom! We were created to bring God glory and He wants us to be a part of every amazing moment of the story he's writing for us.

So remember this the next time something you planned doesn't go your way...God must truly have a better way that will end up being a blessing for your life and bring Glory to God.
